Skull Fuck, not Ladies & Gentlemen, for the officially released stuff here...anyways, this is a unique little gem in the heart of that big Fillmore run, as I think the L&G compilation has impressed a lot of people but nothing from here represented. I like listening to this as an aside to that exhausting compilation along with that pearl of a NRPS set (the one from *that* show on the LAMA is incorrect, btw). So, the goods:
*Dark Star > Wharf Rat. Astonishing, and as beautiful as anything this side of 2/18. The Skull Fuck patch shows how gorgeously mixed that album was.
*Duane on the three 2nd set tunes. Actually, he's quite subdued here; probably comes off best on HMT. Sugar Magnolia is white-hot, as usual.
*Good Lovin's big jam impresses, as you might expect.
***There's a lot of tuning up going on between numbers.

thanks Disc Moe
I just took your reccommendation and went to that stash.nug site. what a great find!!!
yes, I found the duane allman stuff. I'm also excited about finding those oct 78 shows, without the annoying fade in and outs in the middle of the drum solos, that were on that road trip release
